RideTech 1965-66 Impala Air Suspension Systems
RideTech 1965-66 Impala air suspension systems are designed specifically for 1965-66 Chevy B-Body cars. They provide an ultra-low show stance, while maintaining excellent ride quality and handling.
RideTech 1965-66 Impala air suspension system features and notes:
* Upper StrongArms: feature corrected ball joint angles for the tall spindles, and the upper ball joint has been moved back to allow for additional caster setting—which improves high-speed stability and steering feel. (Upper StrongArms are powdercoated black and fully assembled with ball joints, bushing, and cross shafts; ready for installation)
* Lower StrongArms: feature a double sheer lower mount for increased strength. They’re powdercoated black, fully assembled with ball joints, bushing, and cross shafts; ready for installation.
* HQ Series Shockwaves: utilize an impact forged aluminum body and monotube design to deliver excellent ride quality and handling (they also allow fine-tuning of the ride quality and handling; the rebound knob is located at top of shock for underhood access).
* Hyperco springs are used to provide a consistent spring rate
* Front and rear MucleBars: help reduce body roll (includes the PosiLink end links to provide immediate engagement between the chassis and control arms)
* Rear StrongArms: provide added strength to help get the power to the pavement (upper arm and panhard bar utilize R-joint technology to deliver smooth operation and reduce roll bind)
* HQ Series rear shocks: utilize an impact forged aluminum body and monotube design to deliver excellent ride quality and handling
* Rear CoolRide system simply bolts in place of stock springs
Important note: To complete your air suspension system, a RideTech compressor system is required/recommended.
Note: Must be used with stock spindles. Some cars have two rear upper control arms and will need additional StrongArm.
